Based on the comic book series of the same name by My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Bá, The Umbrella Academy follows seven children born at the same day and time who were adopted by a billionaire and turned into a team of superheroes. The series stars Elliot Page, Tom Hooper and more returning favorites who will be joined by new cast members in season 3. The Umbrella Academy last aired new episodes in July 2020, when the 10-episode second season followed up the first season’s own 10 episodes. Fans will be delighted to know that 10 more episodes are on the way with season 3, which is currently expected to make its premiere in 2022. That’s a much longer wait than fans have become accustomed to.
